NCP’s Institutional Relations…
.. With the OECD Bodies…
The NCP keep intense relations with the OCED pertinent
institutions and with the other Countries’ NCPs to comply the best with
its tasks.
Within the OECD framework, great importance should be given to
the participation of the NCP to the OECD Investment Committee, composed
by senior officials of the Countries therein represented; it is aimed
at making debate and studies on the most effective ways to
enhance the positive effects of the worldwide investment throughout the
Corporate Social Responsibility at international level.
The NCP is bound to submit an annual report to the Committee on the
accomplished activities. It is allowed to ask the Committee for
clarification on the meaning of the Guidelines. It takes part to
the periodical meetings the Committee organises to have exchange of
points of view with the others NCPs.
Moreover, the NCP periodically meet consultant bodies such as the
Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC) and the
Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD.(TUAC).
… With Other OECD NCPs …
The NCP takes part to the annual meeting involving all the NCPs,
that is held normally in Paris, in the month of June. This happening is
the occasion to check the state of implementation of the OECD mandate,
throughout the analysis on the more critical aspects of their
activities. Any year a roundtable is also organised to deepen a
specific issue.
But the Italian NCP also keep relations with foreign NCPs in non
institutional occasion, for instance having informal consultations with
NCPs of Countries somehow involved in specific cases submitted to its
attention.
… With the National Administrations…
The NCP is strongly engaged in involving governmental agencies and
institutions in its activity and, in particular, national and regional
administrations who may effectively contribute to promote and implement
the OECD Guidelines and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
principles.
At national level, the NCP preserves orderly relationships with the
Ministry of Social Solidarity, promoting the “InterMinisterial board on
CSR”; with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sponsoring the project
“Italian Global Compact – to promote the sustainable development
through Global Compact” and with the Ministry of Home Affairs promoting
the anti-bribery campaign and the concerning working group.
… With the Regional Administrations…
The NCP devotes great attention to the regional administrations
which, being closely related to territories, can promote the OECD
Guidelines principles amongst local actors, mainly SMEs.
To this end, the NCP relates with the Italian Regions involved in
diffusing social responsible conducts.
… With the Chambers of Commerce…
The NCP collaborates with the Italian Chambers of Commerce, which
thanks to their proximity to the entrepreneurial system and their
capacity to perceive its needs, can be a valid source of information
for NCP’s activities.
For that reason it subscribed an agreement with UnionCamere (the
national institution which represents the network of the Chambers of
Commerce) and with several Chambers of Commerce and their Agencies, to
carry out awareness and training programmes devoted to their staffs or
to the enterprises, mainly SMEs.
… With Economic and Social Partners…
To favour the moral suasion of enterprises and strengthen the partnership between institutions, enterprises and other stakeholders to create a trust mutual climate, the NCP collaborates and confront itself with many labour and professional Associations in carrying on its activities.
