To be more effective, the Italian NCP structure is simple and streamlined; in fact, it consists of only three bodies:

• the General Director, with decision-making powers;
• the NCP Committee, with consultative functions;
• the Secretariat, for the day-to-day management of NCP.

In addition, the NCP may avail itself of outside, renowned experts every time this is necessary for its activities.
