Can the Guidelines jeopardize the activity of multinationals?
By signing the OECD Declaration of 27 June 2002, the Governments pledged not to use the "Guidelines" for protectionist purposes or to negatively affect the comparative advantage of a Country, to harmonize their legislation on multinationals with international law, to cooperate in good faith and to use, if necessary, international mechanisms for the settlement of disputes resulting from the activities of businesses, not to introduce differential treatment for multinationals and other businesses.
